About Poverty Reduction Delivery Group

Initial engagement across the HCPP area and our communities in 2017 highlighted several areas that the HCPP could start to work on with a view to eradicating poverty in the region. They are not fully comprehensive solutions but represent an initial focus to build upon and which compliments the existing work of partner organisations.

As identified in the Highland Outcome Improvement Plan the Priorities for the Poverty Reduction Delivery Group are:

• Living Wage and Seasonal Employment
• Financial Education and Advice
• Affordable childcare
• Reducing Fuel Poverty

The Poverty Reduction Delivery Group are currently reviewing their Delivery Plan to reflect recovery from and the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and the current Cost of Living crisis.
