About Partnership Coordinating Group

The Partnership Coordinating Group (PCG) is a forum within the wider Highland Community Planning Partnership structure which brings together local Community Partnerships and thematic Delivery Groups primarily, from 2025 this will also include Short Life Working Groups.  A number of Officers are invited to meetings to offer inputs and updates on Highland and local programmes, partnerships and/or projects, including Community Learning & Development; Whole Family Wellbeing; Community Justice Partnership and Alcohol and Drug Partnership.

Role and Remit includes:

  • Priorities: Support Community Partnerships/Delivery Groups in coordinating and delivering priorities.
  • Communication: Act as a conduit for information exchange between the CPP and Community Partnerships/Delivery Groups.
  • Resource: Highlight areas requiring additional resources to support delivery against priorities.
  • Share Success: Identify successes, best practices, and practical examples for continuous improvement.
  • Meetings: Organise speakers to address and update on Highland-wide programmes/partnership/projects.
  • Networking: Provide and create opportunities for networking across Community Partnerships/Delivery Groups.
  • Feedback Integration: Collate feedback from Community Partnership/Delivery Group into strategic discussions and actions.

As a result of the implementation of the 2024 – 2027 Highland Outcome Improvement Plan (HOIP) the role and remit of the PCG will be extended to include elements outlined within the HOIP Delivery Plan including:

  • Funding & Joint Opportunities: Support alignment of priorities, funding opportunities, and joint initiatives.
  • Data & Intelligence: Support the collection and sharing of data to inform decisions and guide priorities.
  • Workforce Development: Identify and address training and development needs to enhance capacity.

 

Partnership Coordinating Group Membership

Membership of the PCG includes:

  • Delivery Group Chairs
  • Short Life Working Group Chairs
  • Community Partnership Chairs/Vice Chairs
  • Highland Third Sector Interface
  • Partnership/Programme/Project Officers

Meetings

Meetings will be organised quarterly, in February, May, August, November, with dates set in advance.  Additional meetings may be organised if required.

Chairing

The Chair of the Group will rotate between the HOIP Delivery Group Chairs.
